What we keep

If you subscribe or create an account: your email, citizenship, degree, the kind of work you want, your search filters (states, professions, minimum salary), where you are in your TN journey if you choose to tell us, whether you asked for job alerts or joined the TN Kit waitlist, your saved jobs and your plan. If you buy the TN Kit or Pro, Stripe handles the payment; we keep only a Stripe customer id.

What you type into the TN Kit (your case, the job, the employer) is kept in your browser and sent to our server only to build the review and documents; we do not store it. We keep only the name your kit is written for, since a kit covers one person.

If you only search, your profile stays in your browser (localStorage). Each search sends it to our server so it can pick your jobs, and we do not store it.

If you write to us through the employer contact form, we store your name, company, email and message so we can answer you, and we use them for nothing else.

Visits, cookies and abuse limits

We count page views without cookies, and the counts are kept without IP addresses: how many times each kind of page was viewed and, when a visit starts, the site you came from, the kind of page you started on, the tag on the link if we put one there, your country, whether it is a phone or a computer, and the language. In the same way we count how often the sign-up box was shown, how many searches were run and which professions or states had no jobs, how many jobs members opened and how many times an Apply link was pressed (by employer), how many people ran the TN Kit’s free case check (by profession and citizenship), and, when someone signs up, joins the waitlist or writes to us, the site, kind of page and country they arrived from. They are daily totals; nothing in them identifies a person.

To stop abuse we limit how many requests one visitor can make, and that takes a counter. Next to it we keep your IP address, or a one-way hash of your email or IP address, for about two days, then delete it automatically. The same kind of hash (of your email and the job together) lets us count each job you open, or Apply link you press, once a day. It is never added to the visit totals, and we use it for nothing else.

Our only cookies are the one that remembers your language, if you switch it, and, while you are signed in, the ones that keep you signed in.

Email alerts

Alerts are opt-in. We email you job alerts only if you asked for them, in the alerts box on the home or results page or on your account page, and confirmed your email. Every alert has an unsubscribe link, and you can also turn them off on your account page.

What for

To sign you in, to send the job alerts you ask for, and to answer employers who write to us. We do not sell or share your data.

Deleting your data

To delete your account entirely, use “Delete my account” on your account page, or write to privacy@findtnvisajobs.com. Stripe keeps its own record of payments, as the law requires.
